ALASKA WILDERNESS RIVER  ADVENTURE

THE ADVENTURE

JUNE 29 - JULY 3, 2005

Join Hank, Carol and Andy Fischer on a wildlife/fishing adventure down the wild and scenic Talachulitna River.  Nestled in the heart of the snow capped Alaska Range, the Talachulitna begins at Judd Lake and winds its way through 50 miles of breathtaking wilderness.  The Tal offers both spectacular wildlife watching as well as fishing for native rainbow trout, grayling and king salmon.

Andy has guided on the Talachulitna for the last three years and knows the ins and outs of fishing the Tal as well as the best places to camp.  Expect to rough it in style with top-notch meals, camping and service.   Hank, Carol and Andy are veterans of the Tal with a wealth of wildlife and fishing knowledge.

--fishing. As one of Alaska’s first catch and release Rainbow Trout fisheries, the Tal is renound for its spectacular “leopard” rainbow trout fishing.  From 22 inch rainbows to 50 pound kings, the Tal is an angler’s paradise and a nature lover’s dream.   This trip is designed to coincide with the height of the king run.  Bring a stout rod for these big fighters.

--wildlife watching. Traveling quietly in a raft is a great way to see wildlife.  Expect to see bears, beavers, bald eagles and the occasional moose, and otter.  We'll listen for wolves howling.  The king salmon run often draws grizzlies to fish the river.

--fly-fishing seminars. If you are a beginner of if you would like to improve your flycasting technique, we’ll do our best to help you learn to cast better. Carol Fischer has worked as a flycasting instructor for Grizzly Hackle in Missoula for a number of years, and Andy and Hank are both skilled fishing guides.

Come join us on this exclusive wilderness adventure!
